Our Mission
At Welcare, we aim to transform lives by providing therapeutic, child-centered care for young people affected by trauma. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment that fosters healing, inclusivity, and empowerment. We find ways to inspire children in our care to take control of their narrative and become the hero’s of their own stories.
What our residents say
Working at the Eastmoor house so far has been a mix of adjustment and growth for the young residents as it's a new environment with unique routines, staff and peers. They find moments of connection, stability and learn to settle in their new space, with the support from the Eastmoor Staff. My highlight of working here so far would be forming bonds with the staff and residents, engaging in activities that bring joy and make residents feel accomplished. I like to see the residents experience a moment of kindness or understanding and it can be through a particular activity, an outing or a breakthrough moment that makes them feel understood or empowered.

I think Eastmoor house is perfect, I really enjoy living here. I loved celebrating a house mates' birthday in the garden where we all had a BBQ
I enjoy going out with Amer (Therapeutic Practitioner) to Bradford, Barnsley and Shipley. I also enjoy cooking together.
